Summer Childcare now offered at the TCELC

Ticonderoga Community Early Learning Center to offer summer
childcare services

TICONDEROGA
– The Ticonderoga Community Early Learning Center (TCELC) is pleased to offer childcare resources to summer visitors to our region.

Summer childcare is available June 1 through September 30 for children 6 months to 5 years of age, five days/week (Monday through Friday), from 7:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at 64 Amherst Avenue in Ticonderoga.

“We’re excited to welcome seasonal families to our new summer childcare program. Whether you’re here for a few weeks or the whole summer, your child will enjoy a safe, engaging, and enriching experience that feels just like home,” stated Silver Bay YMCA’s Education Director Jackie Palandrani.

Children may attend TCELC as little as one day per week, for full or ½ days (3 hour minimum for ½ day) if the schedule has been pre-scheduled with the TCELC to ensure proper staffing levels are maintained.

Palandrani added, “We understand that summer plans can be unpredictable, especially for visiting families—that’s why our new summer childcare program offers flexible scheduling to fit your needs. Whether it’s a single day or several weeks, we’re here to provide a safe, fun, and nurturing environment whenever you need us.”

Ticonderoga Community Early Learning Center’s summer childcare offering is perfect for families whose 4-year-olds and 5-year-olds attended the Ticonderoga UPK program this school year who need childcare support when school is out. The Early Learning Center will be able to provide weekday childcare in a wonderful educational play setting throughout the summer.

To ensure staffing levels at the TCELC are sufficient to cover summer childcare, summer families are asked to make a commitment to TCELC by filling out a request for childcare form. Final commitments must be made by May 15. All acceptance and placement are subject to availability.

The TCELC is operated by Silver Bay YMCA with fully certified staff and a commitment to helping children grow and experience the world around them with confidence, creativity, and social well-being. About the TCELC: At the YMCA, we understand that each child develops at their own rate and in their own unique way. We are committed to providing your child with a program that not only meets the developmental needs of their age group, but a program that meets the needs of your child as an individual.

Each child’s individuality is respected, and children are encouraged to share their thoughts and feelings as they try new things, grow, and experience the world around them.

Our MISSION: To cultivate relationships, strengthen communities and nurture spirit, mind and body for all.

Our IMPACT: Because of Silver Bay YMCA, connections between people and family are stronger. People are more connected, respectful and caring. They have the confidence to develop to their full potential and to positively impact the communities in which they work and live. As a result, communities are more dynamic, comprehensive and varied. As stewards of Lake George, we inspire people to be stewards of the environment while they are visiting our magnificent campus and in their home communities.
