Silver Bay Teen Center receives Adirondack Foundation Grant
Silver Bay YMCA Ticonderoga Teen Center awarded $7,500
Silver Bay YMCA is pleased to announce that the Silver Bay YMCA Ticonderoga Teen Center has received a Generous Acts grant for $7,500 from the Adirondack Foundation.
Generous Acts at Adirondack Foundation — is a force for good that pools gifts from generous donors who love the Adirondack region and care about our communities. Adirondack Foundation connects people, ideas, and
resources to improve lives and expand opportunities throughout the Adirondack region.
“We are thrilled to have the Adirondack Foundation as a partner with our Teen Center in Ticonderoga. The youth of our area rely on that space for much of their social and emotional development. It’s critical to the fabric of our community, and we are grateful to the Adirondack Foundation for recognizing the important role it serves,” stated Silver Bay YMCA VP of Development and Government Relations, Walt Lender.
The grant will help cover the costs and expenses associated with running the Ticonderoga Teen Center.
Silver Bay YMCA Teen and Youth Director Jackie Palandrani said, “Programs like the Adirondack Foundation help us play a vital role in supporting and empowering young people through experiences like college tours and fun activities. It’s great to see organizations working to make these opportunities accessible to all, regardless of cost.”
Silver Bay YMCA VP of Programs Uriah Rodriguez added.
“Interacting with the representative from the Adirondack Foundation felt akin to conversing with a member of our own community. She effortlessly integrated herself into our environment, engaging with both children and
staff, truly immersing herself in the essence and mission of our establishment. Such interactions hold profound significance for us, as they enable our benefactors to witness the tangible impact of their contributions in real-time. This visibility fosters a sense of purpose and inspires continued generosity, as donors recognize the ongoing necessity of supporting adolescents. With a perpetual scarcity of programs tailored to youth, the
Ticonderoga Teen Center consistently serves as a guiding light for young individuals seeking guidance, support, and constructive peer interaction.”
