Bluegrass in Heaven starts in:

Blue Highway

Friday evening, September 15

Highly esteemed bluegrass band Blue Highway has earned a collective 28 IBMA Awards, 6 SPBGMA Awards, one Dove Award, and three Grammy nominations as a band.

Blue Highway celebrated their 25th Anniversary of Touring in 2019, with four of its original members still intact.

As momentum continues to build for the 25 year strong powerhouse band, Blue Highway is rolling on with a rich legacy, carried on by three powerhouse songwriters and vocalists in Tim Stafford, Wayne Taylor, and Shawn Lane, whose harmonies soar over the dynamic banjo of Jason Burleson and the tasteful dobro of Gary Hultman.

Michael Cleveland & Flamekeeper

Saturday evening, September 16

Widely considered the bluegrass fiddler of his generation, Cleveland has been recognized 12 times as the IBMA’s “Fiddler of the Year” and in 2018 was inducted into the National Fiddler’s Hall of Fame. His recording Fiddlers Dream was nominated in 2018 for a Grammy for Best Bluegrass Album, and in 2019, he won a Grammy for his album Tall Fiddler.

In 2019, Cleveland’s amazing life of adversity and achievement was featured in the documentary film Flamekeeper: The Michael Cleveland Story. And in 2022, he was awarded the National Endowment for the Arts Heritage Fellowship.

Silver Bay YMCA has plenty of activities for festival goers to enjoy. From archery to disc golf, and swimming to kayaking on the lake. There’s an activity for everyone in your group to enjoy between concerts.

All sound equipment will be provided and there will be enough room on stage to accommodate up to 3 musicians at a time.

Currently, pets are welcome on Silver Bay property so long as they are leashed at all times, nonaggressive, and picked up after. While we currently do not have any accommodations ready to welcome your furry family members, we are hoping to make some of our cottages pet friendly in the near future.

Silver Bay YMCA still welcomes service animals that assist our guests in daily tasks that keep everyone safe. We do ask that if you plan to bring a service animal with you, that you please pack his or her service vest to help distinguish from other pets that may be visiting Silver Bay at that same time.

*Allowing pets on Silver Bay property and in accommodations may allow the following things to occur; additional costs related to any damages by pet(s) to Silver Bay property, restricted dog breed list, restricted list of animals welcome on Silver Bay property, Non-refundable deposits, cleaning deposits, limited pet-friendly locations, and signed contractual agreements.

There are two types of tickets available. A Festival Pass and an All-Inclusive Festival Pass.

The Festival Pass will provide the pass holder with access to Silver Bay Workshops, access to a variety of vendors, and access to performances by local and regional performers.

The All-Inclusive Festival Pass will provide the pass holder with everything included in the Festival Pass and access to the Headliner performances in our historic auditorium.

All kids must have a ticket. Youth Passes (ages 6-17) are available for $10. Youth who wish to attend headliner performances must be accompanied by an adult with an All-Inclusive Festival Pass.

It costs nothing for children 5 years old or younger to attend the festival, but a 5 and Under Pass must be “purchased” for them. Children with a 5 and Under Pass must be accompanied by an adult with a Festival Pass or All-Inclusive Festival Pass at all times.

All festival goers need tickets to attend the festival. For festival attendees who are staying on Silver Bay property, tickets must be purchased in addition to your room/cottage reservations.
