Teen Center awarded Stewarts Holiday Match Grant
Silver Bay – Silver Bay YMCA is pleased to announce that Stewart’s Holiday Match has awarded a $1,000 grant to the Silver Bay YMCA Ticonderoga Teen Center.
Stewarts Shops has collected and matched donations in their shops from Thanksgiving until Christmas since 1986. This season, they received 1,807 applications requesting over $4 million in support while they had just over $1.7 million to donate. The Stewart’s Holiday Match Program has now allocated over $39 million since the program’s inception.
The Silver Bay YMCA Ticonderoga Teen Center is a free drop-in program for 13 through 18-year-olds in the Ticonderoga area. The Teen Center provides area youth with a safe space to connect with their community, engage in opportunities to grow and have the freedom to be their best selves. This grant will help with the Teen Center’s operational costs.
Silver Bay YMCA VP of Development and Government Relations Walt Lender said, “The Silver Bay YMCA is dedicated to empowering the youth of our community, and the Ticonderoga Teen Center is at the heart of that mission. We deeply appreciate Stewart’s support in recognizing the importance of providing local teens with a safe and inspiring space to learn, grow, and become the leaders of tomorrow.” To learn more about the Silver Bay YMCA Ticonderoga Teen Center follow them on Facebook and Instagram or visit silverbay.org.
