SILVER BAY – Silver Bay YMCA has successfully surpassed its 2025 annual fund goal of $2 million – an achievement that was made possible by the generosity and commitment of its donors, partners, and community. This success demonstrates a shared belief in Silver Bay’s mission and the impact it creates and underscores a collective investment in the future of the organization and people it serves.
Over the course of 2025 Silver Bay YMCA received over $2.1 million in donations to the Annual Fund from 543 donors – 186 of which were first time donors. Money donated to the Annual Fund supports operations of Silver Bay YMCA.
Silver Bay YMCA is beyond grateful for the generosity and commitment of its donors, partners, and supporters that showed their support over the course of 2025. Their support shows a deep trust in Silver Bay’s mission and a shared belief in its work – which helps empower the organization and its employees to continue their work.
“Surpassing our 2025 Annual Fund goal is a powerful affirmation of what’s possible when our community believes in our mission. We are deeply grateful for the generosity that made this milestone possible—but the work is just beginning. As we look ahead to 2026, our focus is on sustaining this momentum to ensure lasting impact for the people and programs we serve,” stated Silver Bay YMCA VP of Development and Government Relations Walt Lender.
The success of 2025 serves as a strong foundation that enables the organization to meet growing needs and plan strategically for the future. More individuals and families are seeking connection, enrichment, and support – reinforcing the need for a strong and resilient organization. Meeting today’s needs while preparing for tomorrow requires consistent resources and long-range thinking.
“Exceeding our Annual Fund goal strengthens our ability to serve, but it also reinforces our obligation to steward resources wisely,” said Lucas Callahan, Silver Bay YMCA Interim CEO. “Sustained impact comes from planning ahead, remaining adaptable, and staying grounded in our mission.”
While Silver Bay is thrilled with the work accomplished throughout 2025 and the support it has received, they have also acknowledged that the work is just beginning.
“This achievement gives us confidence as we look ahead, but it does not lessen the need for continued generosity,” said Lender. “As we move into 2026, we invite our supporters to continue investing in this work so we can build on what we’ve achieved together.”
