Silver Bay Teen Center Receives Stewart’s Holiday Match Donation

Over $1,200 donated to Silver Bay YMCA Ticonderoga Teen Center

The Stewart’s Holiday Match Program has selected Silver Bay YMCA Ticonderoga Teen Center as a recipient for its 2023 Holiday Match.

Stewart’s Shops has collected and matched donations in their shops from Thanksgiving until Christmas since 1986. The 2023 Holiday Match Program received 1,861 applications requesting over $5 million in support while there was just over $2 million available to donate.

Stewart’s Shops Holiday Match Program donated $1,250 to Silver Bay YMCA to use for the Teen Center.

“The Ticonderoga Teen Center is a critical element in how Silver Bay YMCA supports the youth of our community. We are so pleased and grateful that Stewart’s sees the importance of Silver Bay’s work and our mission to provide area teens with a safe space to grow and develop into community leaders,” Silver Bay YMCA’s VP of Development and Government Relations Walt Lender said on the donation.

The Stewart’s Holiday Match Program has now allocated over $38 million since the program’s inception. The success of the program is credited to Stewart’s Shops customers for their generous contributions, their dedicated shop partners who worked diligently to collect funds, and to their media partners who helped spread the word about the program.

Peter Doliber, the CEO of Silver Bay YMCA, added, “We are incredibly grateful for the support from Stewart’s. They are an amazing community partner supporting many great organizations and services. We are thankful to be included. This goes a long way in helping us serve the families of Ticonderoga.”
