Silver Bay YMCA announces lineup for Summer Concert Series
Silver Bay YMCA kicked off its 2024 Summer Concert Series on May 25 with a performance by the Plattsburgh State Gospel Choir followed by a performance by Kat Wright on June 1, a performance by Elizabeth Kasius & HEARD June 8, and a performance by the Clements Brothers on June 15.
The Silver Bay YMCA Summer Concert Series is a series of free concerts open to the public in the Silver Bay YMCA Auditorium every Saturday through September 7 from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m., there will be no concert on August 17 due to another event taking place in the Auditorium at that time.
In addition to the Saturday concerts in the Auditorium, there will also be “Music on the Concourse” by the Scott Hopkins Trio from 8 p.m. – 9 p.m. on Friday nights starting June 21 until August 30. This event is part of the Summer Concert Series and is also free and open to the public. It will take place on the concourse between the William Boyd Center and the Store.
Silver Bay YMCA’s Assistant VP of Campus & Conference Programs Chet Lastowski spoke to this season’s lineup.
“The line-up of performers for the 2024 season come from a diverse range of genres. Gospel, Rock-a-billy, Folk Americana, Orchestral, Jazz and more. We’re excited to be able to bring so many amazing artists to our community,” he stated.
The lineup for the 2024 season includes performances by The Storm Windows, Rich Ortiz, Gibson Brothers, Big Sky Quartet, Glens Falls Symphony Orchestra, The 155s, Annie & The Hedonists, The McKrells, and Alice Howe & Freebo.
“Witnessing our beautiful auditorium filled with music and dance has been a phenomenal experience so far. We hope to continue to see our community come together throughout the summer to see all the incredible artists we have still to go,” Silver Bay YMCA’s Artist in Residence Madeline Drexler added.
The next Summer Concert Series performance will take place on June 22 with The Stony Creek Band rocking the stage.
