Stewart’s Shops to offer TCELC Scholarships to Employees

Ticonderoga Community Early Learning Center Scholarships now available

Ticonderoga
– Silver Bay YMCA held an open house April 1 at the Ticonderoga Community Early Learning Center, TCELC, to allow the community to see the facility and to connect with area businesses to show them the services Silver Bay can offer to their employees.

“By showing area businesses the TCELC, we highlighted the vital role early education plays in building a stronger workforce and community – because when families thrive, businesses do too,” Silver Bay’s VP of Development and Government Relations Walt Lender explained.

During the open house, tours of the facility were conducted, and attendees had the opportunity to converse with childcare staff and leaders of Silver Bay YMCA.

Silver Bay YMCA’s Education Director Jackie Palandrani stated, “As a leader in early childhood education, inviting community members to tour our center and meet our staff allowed us to showcase not only our passion—but the proven impact of our work. Research shows that children who attend high quality early learning programs are more likely to succeed in school and life, and partnerships with local organizations help us extend
that impact even further.”

One area business – Stewart’s Shops – has taken the lead to partner with Silver Bay YMCA and offer discounts to their employees. For Stewart’s Shops employees who choose to purchase a Silver Bay YMCA membership, and/or utilize Silver Bay’s childcare and day camp services Stewart’s Shops will cover half the cost.

“We’re proud to partner with Stewart’s Shops to provide their partners with access to early learning and day camp services, and Silver Bay YMCA membership. This collaboration not only supports working families but also
reflects a shared commitment to strengthening our community by making quality care more accessible,” stated Silver Bay YMCA CEO Peter Doliber.
