Volunteers
Whether you would like to volunteer for an hour or an entire summer, Silver Bay has something for you!
Volunteers are the life blood of Silver Bay. Whether planting in our gardens, serving in our dining hall, or working in our fitness center our volunteers can be found across our campus giving of their time and talent to help silver bay fulfil its mission: to cultivate relationships, strengthen communities and nurture spirit, mind and body for all.
We would like to say a special Thank You to all of our volunteers.
Silver Bay Council
Silver Bay Council Past Projects:
- Rocking Chair Restoration and Caning
- Ongoing hiking trail maintenance
- Constructed Cottage Garbage Can Bins
- Constructed Screened Porches
- Established the Mini-Disc Golf Course
- Built the Slim Point Raft
- Build and refurbish ADK Chairs, picnic tables and benches
- Sew and make curtains in housing and buildings
- Built the Kiosk at Horn Nature Trail
- Completed major gardening projects at the Teen Center and Maintenance
- Built the storage shed behind Squire Studio where rocking chairs are stored
- Built and painted the privacy fence around the electrical unit in Van Buren Bay in between the cottages
- Replaced and painted the wooden railing in front of the Admin building
- Made a fire pit at the Nature Center
- Built and refurbished General rearrangement and built and reinforced cabinets at the Nature Center
- Built the sandbox and Turtle Enclosure at the Nature Center
- Built the shed at the Nature Center
