Silver Bay YMCA welcomes five new members to its Board of Trustees

Silver Bay YMCA is thrilled to welcome five new board members to its Board of Trustees. Kaley Bell, Nicole Bostic, Dominic Colafati, Fannie Glover, and Malcolm Lee officially started their term on January 1st and will join their first Board of Trustees meeting in February.

Kaley Bell joins the Board from the Upper West Side, where she has worked at St. Bernard’s School since 2013 as director of secondary school advising. She oversees financial assistance for students, advises eighth graders, and serves on the diversity task force. Bell also co-chairs the New York State Association of Independent Schools Admissions, Placement, and Financial Assistance conference, is on the planning committee for the Junior Schools Placement Conference of Greater New England, and co-founded a high school admission consulting firm.

Nicole Bostic, a Hudson Valley native living in Baltimore, Maryland, works at McCormick after experience in Austin, Texas, in the food and film industry. She spearheads new video initiatives, develops products, and creates nutritional and delicious menus within the noncommercial space.

Dominic Colafati spent most of his career with the New York State Division of the Budget in Albany, serving 15 years as director of fiscal planning. He led teams managing the State’s financial plan and bond market activities and now advises a board restructuring the financial operations of a distressed government.

Fannie Glover is Senior Director of Equity & Inclusion at the Early Care and Learning Council in New York, overseeing statewide equity, diversity, and inclusion efforts. She has over 15 years of human resources experience, is trained as an Anti-Defamation League facilitator, and completed the inaugural BUILD Equity Leaders Action Network Fellowship representing New York in advancing racial equity in early childhood systems.

Malcolm Lee, from Bethesda, Maryland, is a policy advisor and consultant with experience in government, think tanks, and the private sector. He served in the Clinton and Obama administrations in economic, technology, and foreign policy roles, worked at Microsoft and Alibaba Group, was a nonresident senior fellow at the Brookings Institution, and served as a Senate aide and attorney in private practice.

In addition to new members, the 2024 Board of Trustees officers have been announced: Joel Wattenbarger continues as Chair, Elise Walton is Chair Elect, Morrie Peters and Kathy Wilson are Vice Chairs, Melissa Adams is Treasurer, and Jeremy Fischer is Secretary.

The 2024 Committee Chairs are: Governance Committee – Kathy Wilson, Finance Committee – Melissa Adams, Strategic Planning Committee – Denise Carter, Audit Committee – Jack Mangiante, I.D.E.A. Committee – Michelle Hay, CEO Compensation and Review Committee – Beth Whitaker, and Investment Sub-Committee – David Kaiser.
