Silver Bay YMCA to open childcare facility
Silver Bay partners with Ti-Alliance to open childcare facility
Silver Bay YMCA is excited to announce that they will be operating the Ticonderoga Community Early Learning Center at 64 Amherst Ave.
The Ticonderoga Community Early Learning Center is designed to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for young minds to flourish. The facility will include four Early Learning classrooms for infants, toddlers, and preschool age children. There are dedicated teaching teams, an indoor playroom, and an outdoor playground.
Silver Bay YMCA will be utilizing the Creative Curriculum which allows children to learn through being actively engaged in cognitive development mentally, physically, and social-emotionally. This will provide a great foundation for a lifetime of learning and future success.
“I am incredibly excited about the opportunity to collaborate on bringing childcare to Ticonderoga. Working alongside the Ti-Alliance on this project, I have witnessed the remarkable efforts of Donna and her team. In less than a year, we have achieved what many thought was impossible. Partnering with the community is at the heart of what Y’s do, and there is no greater experience for a Y than contributing to the strength of the community. This is the essence of our mission, and I am grateful to be part of such an important endeavor,” stated Silver Bay YMCA VP of Programs Uriah Rodriguez.
The Silver Bay YMCA Board of Trustees passed a resolution during their May board meeting approving the contract between Silver Bay YMCA and Ticonderoga Revitalization Alliance.
Ticonderoga Revitalization Alliance Executive Director Donna Wotton stated, ” The partnership between St. Mary’s, Ti-Alliance, and Silver Bay has been extraordinary. We are all so pleased that Silver Bay YMCA will be the operator of our new Early Learning Center. There’s no other childcare provider with more experience in early learning and youth development for all ages than the Y. We’re so lucky to have this dedicated resource so vested in our community. It has taken an amazing amount of commitment and partnership on the part of everyone involved to overcome many hurdles and bring the Early Learning Center to life. This will be a game changer for so many families that live and work in our area.”
“At the heart of our mission is to serve others. Around the country YMCAs are known for providing quality childcare and early learning. With this partnership we are continuing in the YMCA childcare tradition of youth development. We know from experience that when children are provided the right tools at an early age, they have a better chance of becoming successful fulfilled adults. We are thrilled to have been selected as the operator of the new Ticonderoga Community Early Learning Center. The partnership in this endeavor with Ti-Alliance and the broader community is incredible. We look forward to furthering our service to the families of the Ticonderoga area,” added Silver Bay YMCA CEO Peter Doliber.
Silver Bay YMCA is excited to add the Ticonderoga Community Early Learning Center to their Youth Development programming and with their partners, they would like to invite the Ticonderoga community to an open house at the new Early Learning Center (64 Amherst Ave.) on Saturday, June 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. During the open house families will have the opportunity to see the facility, meet staff, complete final registrations, and start paperwork for subsidies.
