Silver Bay YMCA is the perfect relaxful getaway. There are a variety of accommodations available from an Inn-style room with a private bath, to a cozy lake-view cottage.
Many of our accommodations include meals in the William Boyd Center Dining Hall. Please inform us in advance of your stay of any member of your group has dietary allergies or restrictions.

Our cottages are most popular during our highly programmed summer season (late June through mid-August), but several of our cottages are available year-round and most have supplemental heat for usage from early spring through mid-autumn. All of our cottages offer a full kitchen, with a stove/oven, microwave, refrigerator and cooking utensils such as spoons, spatulas, pots, pans, dish soap, plates, cups, silverware, coffee pot and more. An outdoor gas grill with the propane is also provided.

Shared Bath Accommodations include meals in the William Boyd Center Dining Hall unless otherwise arranged prior to arrival.
Please Note: While many people enjoy our property throughout the year, please note that a number of activities and amenities are only available during our peak summer season. Please check our calendar for a listing or contact us to lean more.

Reservation Process:
Those interested in making a lodging reservation (all room and cottages) for 2027 will be asked to submit a 2027 Reservation Request form between January 1, 2025 and January 13,2025 by email to reservations@silverbay.org or mail. Mail Submissions must be received by January 13, 2025. Booking information will be released the week of January 20, 2025 via email, make sure to check your junk email.
- All reservation requests will be taken by email or mail until the second Monday of January. (Please see chart below.)
- All requests must be sent to reservations@silverbay.org or mailed to Silver Bay.
- At least two accommodation and date requests must be filled out on the request form.
- Those selected for one of their four choices for vacation accommodation and dates will be removed from the waitlist for other possible stays.
- If your four options are not available, you will be placed on the waitlist for all four options and contacted by a reservationist to book other accommodations.
- Any forms or requests received after January 13, 2025 will be based on availability only.
- Specific room numbers may be requested but will not be guaranteed.
*Please Note- Reservation requests submitted after the second Monday of the year will not be valid. After this date, you will need to contact the reservations department directly to make your reservation.
Hotel Style:
The Inn
Overlooking Lake George, The Inn is the historic centerpiece of campus. It offers rooms with both private and central bath. Simply outfitted with functional, but comfortable furnishings, many rooms have single and double beds, allowing families to share a room if desired. The gracious front porch and large attractive lobby areas invite guests to linger through the building’s architectural beauty. (71 rooms, maximum 315 people)

William Boyd Center
Located in the heart of campus overlooking Lake George, the William Boyd Center boasts 22 air-conditioned guest rooms, most with balconies. Dining and meeting facilities are also located in the William Boyd Center. (22 rooms, 94 people max)

Trinity (Only available in the summer)
One of Silver Bay’s newest private bath accommodations, Trinity House offers a calm retreat to its occupants. Enjoy the solace of the library and the community of the common room. Rooms are uniquely outfitted with antique Adirondack furniture, which adds to its distinctive charm. (11 rooms, maximum 26 people)

Bayview Lodge
Named for its breath-taking views of Silver Bay, this space offers comfortable accommodations. Bayview houses private bath rooms each with a variety of single and double beds accommodating up to five people. There are adjoining rooms, a conference room with wireless internet, and a kitchen. Kitchen and conference rooms are subject to availability. (27 rooms, maximum of 99 guests)

Cottages:
Hemlock (Only available in Summer)
This accommodation provides rooms that are simple and comfortable, perfect for the group that spends their day outdoors. While rooms open to the outside and showers are down the hall, every two rooms share a toilet and a sink. (24 rooms, maximum 48 people, bed linens are provided, but beds are not made)
Large Group Housing:
Brookside Community House (Only available in summer)
Across from the Children’s Pavilion and a modern addition to our campus, Brookside Community House has a large common area featuring a stone fireplace, a piano, and conversation nooks. Every two rooms share a bath and can accommodate up to five people. This family accommodation is alcohol-free. (8 rooms, maximum 25 people)
Hillcrest Cottage
6 rooms, 2 bathrooms
Standard Occupancy: 15 people
Maximum Occupancy: 17 people
Situated on one of the highest points on the Silver Bay campus overlooking Lake George, Hillcrest offers the perfect setting for your small group. Relax and enjoy the spectacular views from the screened in porch. There are two bathrooms, one on each floor, both equipped with showers only as well as a full kitchen.
Hilltop (Only Available In Summer)
8 rooms, 3 bathrooms
Standard occupancy: 15 People
Maximum Occupancy: 17 people
A spacious 2-story lodge with a beautiful view of Lake George and the Silver Bay Campus. With 3 bathrooms and 8 bedrooms, this accommodation is perfect for small groups or family reunions.
Paine Hall (only available in summer)
16 rooms, 7 bathrooms
Standard Occupancy: 44 people
Maximum Occupancy: 52 people
Built in 1895 by the original benefactors of Silver Bay, this is a beautiful Victorian home that overlooks Van Buren Bay (Oneita Bay). A perfect small group location, Paine Hall provides an atmosphere that brings people together, whether it is rocking on the porch or meeting in the rotunda. Rooms can accommodate up to five people with a shared bath for every 3-4 rooms.
Spruce Mountain Lodge (only available in summer)
9 rooms, 4 bathrooms
Standard Occupancy: 25 people
Maximum Occupancy: 31 people
Built as a private hotel in the late 1800’s, the lodge is located on the periphery of campus. Spruce Mountain Lodge is a great setting for your small group. With a private fire-pit and serene atmosphere this accommodation is ideal for rest and relaxation. There are a total of 4 full bath rooms and a full kitchen.
