Event Series Event Series: Summer Lecture Series

This is part two of ‘The Mandala Symbol in World Religions” lecture that took place on July 31.

The Mandala is a universal symbol used as a tool for meditation and contemplation. We will explore its various forms in Christianity, Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism, Daoism and Native American culture. Materials will be available to make your own mandala.

Dr. Sharon Sassaman holds a Ph.D. in Psychology and has studied meditation in both eastern and western traditions.  Her interest in Mandalas stems from her immersion in the work of Swiss Psychologist, Carl Jung who wrote extensively on the symbols that embody the Spiritual Quest.
