Silver Bay YMCA created the Silver Bay Games for this years Giving Tuesday campaign. Silver Bay employees were given the opportunity to sign up to compete in the games and were randomly assigned to two teams: Slim Point and Van Buren Bay. The teams competed in a series of six games that tested their knowledge of Silver Bay, teamwork skills, and agility. While teams were assigned points for winning games, they could also earn points through sportsmanship, creativity/innovation, teamwork, and team spirit shown throughout the games. Teams also have the ability to earn a point for every dollar donated to their team. So although the games are over, the competition is very much still going on until 11:59 p.m. on November 28, Giving Tuesday, when the donation window will close. The winner of the games will be announced November 29 across Silver Bay YMCA’s social media channels.
