This presentation will inform our Silver Bay community and wider communities about the overall home health care (HHC) planning issues for North Country residents who want to age-in-place in their homes. Attendees will learn key results about this topic from surveys conducted by the Center for Health Workforce Studies (CHWS); School of Public Health, University at Albany, SUNY and by American Association of University Women (AAUW) members. The needs of and insights from HHC agency administrators and caregiver focus groups will be identified. The presentation is based on the February 2, 2024, workshop held at SUNY Adirondack College.
Attendees will also be given planning packets containing contact information for local HHC agencies/organizations to learn how to develop HHC plans for their families, specifically for aging adults in North Country rural areas who need additional care to remain in their homes.
